Community-Engaged Teaching Through Starr Hill Pathways
Community-engaged teaching at the University of Virginia is driving real community impact, fostering strong connections between students at UVA and across the Charlottesville and Albemarle County region. Through partnerships with the Center for Community Partnerships’ Starr Hill Pathways (SHP) college and career readiness program, UVA faculty are reinforcing primary subjects for undergraduate students by assigning them to tutor and mentor local students

Mental Health First Aid at UVA
Stay connected with UVA Facilities Management, FEAP, and HoosWell as they continue partnerships with Region 10 and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing to offer Adult Mental Health First Aid courses to support wellbeing in our community. Sessions happen quarterly and there are open spots for the final offering in 2025: Tuesday, December 9th, 8am-12pm and Thursday, December 11th, 12pm-4pm.
